Advitiy Nano-Satellite

Student Satellite Team, Attitude Determination and Control · IIT Bombay · 2018-2019

Built a modular simulation framework for satellite dynamics and environment for controller testing, validated a PID controller via on-board-in-loop simulation on Arduino, and modeled orbital solar power for the CubeSat electrical budget.

Optimal Control of a Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle

Formulated a fuel-minimizing optimal control problem for a prescribed drive profile, built a modular closed-loop Simulink simulator over multiple cycles and grades, and solved representative cases via multiple shooting and Pontryagin's Maximum Principle.

Developed discrete-time black-box models with optimization-based parameter estimation, implemented recursive updates for ARX, OE, and ARMAX families, and extended them to block-data covariance and parameter updates.

Model Predictive Control of a Temperature Control Lab System

Designed and simulated MPC for a nonlinear dynamical system with input constraints, combining state estimation and innovation-bias correction to manage model-plant mismatch.
